Starship Troopers was a 1997 film based on the 1959 novel by Robert A. Heinlein. A heavy handed recruiting theme ran throughout the movie but wasn’t in the original book. The movie faced critical backlash, with reviewers interpreting the film as endorsing Fascism. They also gave it low marks because of the violence. Here’s a short video from the movie about recruiting military members.

Over time the movie became a cult classic. Today it’s considered a prescient satire of fascism and authoritarian governance. It’s especially relevant today.
