trump has a nemesis, and it’s imagined. Not China, not Iran, not the Democrats standing between him and whatever he’s trying to ram through Congress this week. It’s Joe Biden, a man in his eighties, riddled with cancer that’s spread into his bones, who left office over a year ago and hasn’t uttered trump’s name once since.
And still, trump can’t let it go. That’s not strength. That’s the bare minimum lack of empathy, on humiliating, daily display, from a man who has never once shown he’s capable of more.
I say “imagined” because not a moment has gone by in the days since trump oozed his lizard brain back into the Oval Office that he hasn’t uttered Joe Biden’s name with an insult or modicum of blame attached to it.
Meanwhile, Joe Biden is just living his life: going to Mass, spending time with his family, doing whatever it is a man facing the end wants to do with the time he has left. He isn’t devoting a stray thought or an ounce of energy to trump. He doesn’t have to. This isn’t a rivalry. It’s one man screaming for attention at another man who has already moved on.
And you know what? I’m fucking sick and tired of it.
Hunter Biden recently gave an update on his dad, and it was not good. Speaking on BBC Newsnight in an interview that aired around August 8, 2026, he said: “The cancer has spread, metastasized into his bones and further. It’s very painful and it’s very debilitating in many respects. It’s really sad to watch. I wish he would complain more, because it’s not good.”
Hunter Knows This Pain Better Than Anyone
Hunter himself is no stranger to being ravaged by the heartless and cruel right wing attack machine when you’re at your lowest and most vulnerable: images of Hunter Biden smoking crack flooded the internet when someone had gotten a hold of his laptop.
As a recovering addict myself, who voluntarily shared some horror stories from my addiction almost 23 years ago (God willing, on August 17th I will celebrate 23 years of sobriety, and I always say God willing because tomorrow isn’t promised), I can’t imagine how difficult it was for Hunter to constantly see pictures and video of himself at his lowest point being used as political fodder.
But the shit being put on display by the scumbag in chief is despicable.
Mass vs. Memes
Joe Biden, struggling with debilitating pain from cancer spread to all of his bones, attended Mass this weekend (as he does every week). And while he was doing that, the miserable orange mess in the White House was busy posting mean memes about Joe on Truth Social.
“Biden isn’t even a 100 handicap,” he gloated.
Has he said worse about Joe? Yes, way worse.
Did he NEED to say ANYTHING about Joe? Hell no.
The true measure of someone’s character is how they treat the most vulnerable amongst us. So, in addition to cutting SNAP, Medicare, and Medicaid benefits for the poor, you can add “posts shitty memes about former Presidents dying from cancer” to the list.
What Kicking Sand Doesn’t Do
My brain always goes back to a little comic strip I used to see as a kid, might have been in a Bazooka Joe bubble gum strip (look it up, it was a thing. We used to pay a penny for a hunk of gum that came with a comic strip) and it showed a muscle bound dude kicking sand in a skinny kid’s face... it might’ve been an ad for exercise or supplements.
But the point is, if you’re really a big, strong guy, you look like a punk ass beating up on someone who is too weak to defend themselves.
And THAT is what MAGA celebrates, what they worship.
How does that lower gas prices?
Does it make their groceries cheaper?
Does it improve their miserable lives in any way?
No it doesn’t.
Broken Promises, Real Consequences
And, speaking of gas and grocery prices, let’s talk for a minute about the many broken campaign promises Orange Shitler made to his supporters, over and over at every dumb rally... “On day one,” he’d promise to lower prices of gas and groceries, it would be SO easy.
Same thing for the war in Ukraine, 24 hours he said.
But despite all of these braggadocious claims, he hasn’t fulfilled one of them. In fact, he’s made the situation WORSE in every way imaginable: gas was $3.11 when Joe left office; it’s now over $4.00 per gallon. Grocery prices have likewise soared. Same goes for utility prices.
His ill-advised tariffs and war of choice in Iran are the direct cause of those spiked prices. In fact, if he’d just done NOTHING, and let Biden’s economy continue doing what it was doing, the prices might have been lower.
But his idiotic ego couldn’t leave well enough alone. That’s why he trashed Obama’s Iran deal during his first term, because he couldn’t allow Obama to achieve greatness if he had the power to trash it.
And now? LOL. He’ll be lucky if he gets Iran to accept a deal that is even a fraction of what President Obama got without dropping a single missile. trump stupidly entrusted the Pentagon to a drunken idiot like Pete Hegseth, who allowed our munitions to deplete so badly that he can’t afford to drop any more bombs on Iran.
So trump has his hands FULL with problems and issues to deal with. Instead of devoting 100% of his attention to those issues, he uses 50% of his focus on trashing Biden and blaming everything under the sun on him.
People are already talking about what will happen when Joe Biden passes, saying that trump won’t fly flags at half-mast, and that he’ll do everything he can to throw dirt on his memory, and I can’t allow myself to be too hung up on those things because they haven’t happened yet.
The Cowardice of Silence
But what I CAN do is blame trump for his own shitty behavior. But even more, I blame the Republican support structure around him for allowing him to constantly rag on Joe this way.
All these GOP members of Congress who proudly list “Christian” in their social media profiles are proudly silent when trump conducts himself like the worst human alive. Asked by reporters what they think about his latest post, I can guarantee they will say “I don’t know, I haven’t seen it.”
And reporters, still not learning their lesson from being faked out hundreds of times with this head fake, will not have a screenshot handy to show them. But they all know, and they choose to sit in cowardly silence on these attacks.
I can only hope that their voters all see this, and choose to hold them accountable for their cowardice in November.

What Do You Think?
Do you think trump skips the flag at half-mast when the day comes? Is the GOP’s silence here cowardice, or something worse? Drop your take in the comments, I read every one.
