Introducing May’s needlepoint pattern! I love You More Than Bubbles

Several years ago, I created a canvas inspired by an iconic brand and its remarkable founder—it became an instant hit! Intending to make it its own entity, I made modifications that I believed were sufficient to sell. However, I was wrong. Shortly after, I received a letter from the brand requesting that I no longer sell it. Of course, I obliged. We learn a lot from making mistakes. 🤍

Because this canvas has long been retired from my hand-painted collection, yet still my most requested, I wanted to make the chart available to those who have it as their white whale.

Five years later, I’ve reimagined the design to be more parody-forward by eliminating the brand’s name altogether, and am sharing it with you all for free. The chart is down below.

Over the years, I’ve loved seeing how various stitchers have incorporated it into their lives and celebrations, and I hope this canvas adds a little splash of joy this summer.

DIMENSIONS:

• This pattern is 136 stitches W by 101 stitches H

• ~ 10” W x 7.75”H rectangle on 13 mesh—I recommend a 14” x 12” canvas. When possible, leave a 2” border of blank canvas around the design.

I recommend adding rows on each side if you would like to increase the surface area for self-finishing techniques or require inset rows for a pillow or clutch.
