Meet BRR at AWP

Broad Ripple Review will be at this year’s Association of Writers and Writing Programs Conference and Bookfair, and we would genuinely love to connect with you there. You can find us at Booth 882 inside the Bookfair, and we hope you will make time to stop by.

AWP can feel expansive and overwhelming, with panels running simultaneously, long corridors of tables, reunions unfolding in every corner, and conversations happening at every turn. In the middle of all that motion, we are most interested in slowing down long enough to actually meet people. Broad Ripple Review exists because of writers and readers who believe in literary community, and AWP offers a rare chance to gather in the same physical space.

If you have submitted to us or even published with us, we would love to thank you in person. If you are considering submitting, come ask questions and learn more about who we are and what we value. If you are simply looking for thoughtful conversation in the Bookfair, we hope our table can be that space. Our goal is not just to hand out postcards or stack magazines, but to build relationships that extend beyond a single weekend.

We will have a range of free items at the booth throughout the conference, along with submission incentives for those who stop by and connect with us. We will also have items available for purchase, including a print issue featuring our 2025 Broad Ripple Review Prize winners. Every dollar of proceeds goes directly toward paying our writers. Supporting a small press should mean supporting the people whose work fills its pages, and that principle shapes the way we approach everything we do.

AWP is at its best when it feels less like a marketplace and more like a gathering of people who care deeply about language, risk, and the labor of making art.
