After traveling on and off for the better part of 5 weeks this summer— from camping, to Boston, to New York City, and all the way out west to Denver— it became glaringly clear which comforts from home I missed the most when we were away.
I don’t take for granted how special it was to explore new places and make new memories with my family this summer. And yet, nothing compares to the small things that quietly support our daily routines and life at home. Sometimes you don’t realize how invaluable things are to your daily happiness and ease until you don’t have them readily available.
Continuing on with my 12 things series, I am highlighting the small things that are part of the mundane everyday life at home that I missed greatly while traveling this summer. Proof that it really is the little things that can make the biggest difference and a rich life.
