Welcome to BRIT POP! Every Friday, I round up some of my favorite bits of pop news from the week. You can follow along with my favorite songs of 2026 on Apple Music and Spotify Thank you to my paying subscribers who keep this newsletter running!

Hello!!! Leo season has begun and my birthday is NEXT WEEKEND!!! I’m not feeling as over-the-top this year as I usually am but maybe that’s a product of hitting my early mid-thirties.

This week, I saw Bob Dylan at Forest Hills stadium. As someone who spent many years saying Bob Dylan is mid1, it surprises me as much as anyone that I’ve seen him twice in the last year. The forecast on Tuesday had flood and tornado warnings, but thank god Forest Hills didn’t cancel or reschedule the show. Not a drop of rain fell during Bob and his bright white rain coat. It was also ridiculous how amazing his voice sounded? Many more Dylanologists in my life said it was one of the best shows of his they’ve ever seen. Glad I caught it2.

On Wednesday, I returned to the Grammy Museum for a Q&A with the lovely Julia Wolf. We discussed her love for fantasy and how sometimes the worst feelings we have about ourselves make for great art. The audience was so sweet and had great questions for her at the end of our time on stage together. She did a short acoustic set with her producer Scro afterwards, so I finally got to hear “In My Room” and “Jennifer’s Body” live.

On to this week’s news!!!
