6 MONTHS OF BRIT POP 💋

When I launched BRIT POP on a kind of frantic whim in December, I never could have imagined how important it would be for me to have this platform. I feel so incredibly honored that nearly 3,000 of you not only subscribe but frequently (and very thoughtfully) engage with what I write on here.

The last six months have been a whirlwind of stepping into a brand new phase of my life and career. I’ve written for Elle, Pitchfork, Wired, The Cut, i-D, Nylon, and The Guardian. I’ve published two cover stories and inexplicably have four more (!!!) assigned and/or written that will be going live this summer. And I’ve been churning out bios and other more behind-the-scenes projects that have helped make freelance life so busy and sustainable.

I can’t wait to keep doing this newsletter, and I’m hoping to devote even more time in the future to it now that freelance life feels so much more comfortable than I could have ever hoped. I have some new interviews, a new music guide and a summer concert survival story in the works for you all. Now that I’ve made it through the first hump of being self-employed, I want to dedicate more time to this space.

Going forward, more of the content will be behind a paywall, including the #BritCrave Friday news roundups. I’ll be bringing back the Sunday playlists this month and will make those always free1, especially since the guest ones end up being open to everyone anyway!
