Over the past couple of months I’ve tried something new, and this has worked out.
You'll recall that in December last year I took a cruise. Not just any cruise but a literature-themed five-day cruise to Tasmania and back. I enjoyed it immensely and - naturally - it set some story ideas bubbling away.
I opened up a new project in Scrivener, put my longstanding character Carrielle Watson on the page, and watched to see what happened.
It was fun, branched off in odd directions as my characters came alive, and ended sweetly a month later.
