C’est le 14 juillet. Bastille Day. Perhaps we should seriously consider the meaning (and efficacy) that the bastille day events brought about.

LEC GARCIA is going home in a way. Headed back to WFAA in Dallas to be Executive Producer for the Good Morning Texas show. He’s been at WFAA before and was also Director of Marketing for DC’s WUSA. Very happy to see he’s so happy with the new role. Love those morning shows ! Well Dunne Lec !

Over in Memphis, WES POLLARD now has the title Operations Manager for WREG, the Nexstar-owned CBS affil. He has been CSD there for over 25 years, which as you know is some kind of record in the TV biz. Well Dunne ! Wes.

Former WRAL Promo Pro (and programming pro and all round great person) SHELLY SMITH LESLIE is a walking…no, make that hobbling…PSA for watching where you are walking. Seems she had on a pair of flip flops and went outside and ( !! warning…some of you might want to skip past this next part) stepped on a copperhead. Yes, the snake kind of copperhead. And that poisonous snake bit her. It’s been a painful recovery with specialists, swelling, finding the right MD, learning about North Carolina snakes…did we mention the painful part ? No word on if she called a realtor or is planning on decamping to snake-less Ireland. You are amazing Shelly and get a Well Dunne ! for being such a good example of overcoming what life threw at you.
