Good morning! I’m so happy it’s finally here: the shop is open to everyone.
We will close the shop when we approach our overall order capacity. Yesterday’s presale was so wild, we are already well on our way. Thank you so much to everyone who came by early, I’m so excited to get your art headed your way.
From a young age I felt different and separate from everyone. A few years ago I realized that the lesson that I will learn if I’m lucky to live long enough, and open enough, is that I’ve never been alone. That when I am lonely or anxious it is a window into how so many other people feel right now too.
I’ve read this idea in books, but it didn’t start really feel true until you all saw my art and nodded along. You saw your own life in my life. !?!!
We are proving to each other that we belong.
We rarely open our shop these days. I love that I can spend more time on the art itself. And now, when we do an art drop like this, it feels all the more special. I love knowing that my art is going out into the world, to places I’ll never visit, finding its way into the real, tender hands of a stranger-friend. It feels good to remember again that when we become part of each other’s lives, we have a better understanding of the world: that we are in fact not all on our own.
