Many of you may have already seen over on Instagram that I have just started the most exciting project of my career yet. I’m launching a Sri Lankan food brand with the aim of bringing the food of my culture, what I grew up on and the food of the country onto the shelves of British supermarkets and into the homes of British people.
Sri Lankan food and Sri Lanka as a destination are both having an incredible moment right now – restaurants seem to be popping up on every corner and my instagram feed is full of people travelling through the beautiful island. What better time to give the British population what it clearly wants.
It’s all well and good having an idea but the execution of that idea is the difficult bit. I’m so keen to do this properly, figure out exactly what products are needed and wanted and create something that all of you will want to see in your homes.
