I just spent the week in the Bahamas with Lally, which means this week’s roundup is essentially a swimsuit lookbook with a few strong opinions attached. Everything below got worn somewhere between the pool and a drink I did not order but absolutely finished.
My computer also broke last Sunday, so I spent the whole trip without one, which was almost certainly a gift I did not ask for. Turns out being unreachable in the Bahamas is not the emergency I would have assumed.
I also did not have my kids this week (the trip lined up with their dad’s days), and they get dropped off here tonight. Y’all. I’m so ready some aggressive hugs and snuggles! The quiet was nice. But them getting home is 10x better :)
A few things genuinely earned their spot in the bag this week. My sunglasses, my ISDIN SPF (the sunscreen I will repurchase until I die), and this hat that I ended up wearing every day.
And a heads up bc I genuinely did not clock this until last week: Prime Day is June 23 through 26 this year, not July like usual. The timing is actually perfect for me (ha!) because I’m moving later this year, so I’m using it to stock up on the deeply unglamorous stuff that quietly makes a move less miserable. Top of the list: a carpet vacuum, a wood floor vacuum, and a wet/dry vac, bc I have apparently decided to own a separate vacuum for every surface and emotion.
I’ll have the full list ready for you before it starts. Tell me what you’re hunting for this Prime Day and I’ll keep an eye out, bc I’m already deep in the deal trenches anyway.
But back to Bahamas content, here are allllll the outfit links and details for you below!
I’ve apparently been sleeping on Target because their stuff lately has been SO GOOD. I absolutely love this dress - the print, the fit, and the colors are just…good.
Outfit Details: Target Dress ($30, wearing XS) // Sunglasses // Jewelry by Gresham Rocco Rainbow Necklace // Tote // Madewell Red Jelly Sandals
Okay, we need to talk about these sandals bc I have not taken them off. I have both versions: the real Margaux ones ($275) and the Amazon dupes ($49).
And I hate to report it, but the nicer ones really are better. If they’re not in the budget though, the Amazon pair isn’t bad at all. My one thing is they don’t stay tied as well, and I think it’s the leather. It’s just not the same quality, so they slip loose on me.
Outfit Details (above): Saylor Set (wearing XS) // Necklace // Poolside Bags Beach Bag // Margaux Strappy Sandals
Wasn’t sure about this shell necklace, but then I put it on with this outfit and now I love it. One of those Amazon finds where you can’t really tell the quality until it shows up (you know the gamble). Turns out it’s really cute in person AND in photos.
And this Saylor set. I love their sets bc they come together, so you’re not hunting down the matching piece separately. Reasonably priced too for the quality and the fit and the way it looks on.
Last I checked this dress is basically sold out in the black and white, but they still have the blue and white (and I might grab it bc I love it that much for summer).
It works as a cover-up, or throw some biker shorts underneath and it’s perfect for mom life. Especially on those brutal hot days bc it’s so flowy.
Outfit Details (above): LE BOP Dress (wearing XS) // Jessica Leone Hat // Sunglasses
I have tried so many of these swimsuit and sarong combos that I’ve seen on Amazon, and this is the first one that I actually think is good, looks good, and is flattering.
Outfit Details (above): Swim/Coverup Combo (wearing S) // Sun Hat // Tennis Necklace
Last I checked, I think that this little skort dress is sold out in this specific color, but I wanted to include it anyway in case it was restocked. Plus, it’s available in a few other colors. It’s so simple and so cute at and I can’t explain why, but it’s perfect for summer if you ask me!
Outfit Details (above): Abercrombie Skort Dress (wearing XS) // Sandals (fit is TTS) // Sojos Polarize Retro Sunglasses ($15) // Shell Ophelia Necklace
I’ll be honest, I had low expectations for this little skirt cover-up, but I was pleasantly surprised. The quality is really good for the price - such a good Amazon find.
I’ve had this swimsuit for over 3 years, and it has stood up really well. I love the fit, and the coverage is good.
Outfit Details (above): Vetchy swimsuit set (wearing size XS) // Amazon Crochet Coverup (wearing XS) // Ancient Green Sandals (less expensive version here) // Martha Calvo Nautilus Necklace (less expensive version here) // Ozzy Packable Straw Sun Hat
I love this hat. the fit is perfect (my head is picky and this never happens) and the straps keep it on when it's windy so I'm not holding it down all day. I've worn it almost every single day this summer.
Outfit Details (above): Left on Friday (wearing XS) // Matching Swim Bottoms (wearing XS) // Farm Rio Shorts (wearing XS) / J.crew Tote // Necklace // Ozzy Packable Straw Sun Hat
Shopbop launched swim this week and it's honestly so good. I got a small and the top fit perfectly. The bottoms ran a little big on me (so size down if you're between) but the quality in my opinion is good.
Outfit Details: Le Bop Swim top (wearing S) // Le Bop Swim Bottoms (wearing XS - size down) // Le Bop shorts (wearing XS) // Le Bop matching cover-up top (wearing XS) // AIRE Objective 53mm Oval Sunglasses
Just living our best lives ;)
Outfit Details: Monday Swim Bikini (wearing S, runs small IMO) // Matching Bikini Bottoms (wearing P). // Colorful Bottoms (wearing XS) // Matching Coverup Top (wearing XS) // Bucket Hat // Red Necklace // Green Necklace // Sunglasses // tote // necklace/bracelet combo
I think I might wear this little dress for the 4th of July. I love the fit of the Margot dress so much - I also have it in the long version.
Outfit Details: Hill House House Margot Mini Dress (wearing size XXS) // Hermes Oran Sandals (similar style less expensive) // Maison Irem Athens Necklace (sold out but I love this one from Baublebar)
Third time in a Bondi Born suit and I’m sold. The style, the fit, the quality (this brand just gets it). The bottoms run a touch big, but they’re high-waisted with really good coverage, which I’m always here for.
I have this same suit in the cream, which y’all have seen, but this burnt orange got me. Paired it with this Amazon cover-up and it was exactly right.
Outfit Details (above): Bondi Born Top (wearing size 1) // Bondi Born Bottoms (wearing size 1) // Amazon Sarong ($27) // Shell Necklace
