If you are searching for an extra resource that includes tips and checklists to help plan out your upcoming migration, want to learn more about the last 10 years of my life, or have a friend who is planning their climate-related relocation journey, you are in luck!

Let’s Leave Town: A Climate migrants journey to find their right place has landed on Amazon and will soon be featured in bookstores around the Pacific Northwest.

This was what the sky looked like the morning I hit the publish button from our renovated life.

This is what my cup of tea looked like while we checked, and re-checked, and double-checked the button worked ….

My book is dedicated to my wife Liliana Barzola who demanded I bring this work into form. For years, and years, and years she has been telling me to write a book. For just as long I have been saying NO. Last fall I finally gave in.

The novella explores the ups and downs of building relocation plans due to climate driven evacuations within the US- from idea formation to move-in day this book will help you identify your dream, stay conscious of the consistent decreases in quality of life being offered in towns today, and help you map out your escape route. The transition from working in a blue or white collar job to living and breathing greater freedom and joy is possible when nature becomes your buffer against the current breakdowns in America. After relocating to the mountains during a time of failing infrastructure and environmental catastrophe I have never looked back. Where once the sound of 10:00 pm Amazon deliveries, 6:00 am garbage trucks backing up, and multi-month construction activity filled the air now only nature persists. Two hour drives to find surf and half day outings for solid backcountry access no longer take up the weekend; instead 20 minute door to trailhead explorations have become the standard.

If you need an experienced sidekick to help map out your future migration you have options! You can either email me a project inquiry through my website or simply book a consultation.

And this is what our new backyard looks like…
