a solstice arriving and departing like any regular visitor and the music plays distances over the next few moments it's only a low thrum of organ drone quietly in a church somewhere I'll never go this feels like the last of these years the last buzz and gentle hum of memory as it scrapes and dents the damp ground (no frost exists) and disappears
breeze
this breeze blown into the space between these trees, still standing and still, despite the breeze, finding quiet ways to grow in other zones of touch, of listing light a light within the canopy you can’t quite see as light so much as muted shades and tones of trees still standing
