Just when you think you’re out, they pull you back in…
I said I was done with Summer House but then SoHo Brody posted a White Board video featuring his sidekick, Nelson and special guest West Wilson.
These are some of my favorite videos on the internet. I think they’re hilarious, I love how they explain Bravo related things and I love the commentary provided by everyone.
In the past, I’ve loved when West and when they shared that they were going to be doing one on his own scandal, I was confused. How was West going to sit there after being mute at the reunion and explain himself?
Well…turns out, when he’s no longer under Bravo contract and isn’t high on Xanax (which is the confirmed drug of choice from the reunion), he has a lot to say.
So many people online hated that this video was posted but I personally loved it. I thought it was very funny, just the right amount of harsh and we did find out more information. Yeah, it’s a slap in the face to Bravo, the audience and the cast but I’m sorry, if there’s content I’m going to eat it up.
First, I want to take a moment to acknowledge how banger of a job Nelson and Brody did. I’m not sure what I was expecting but I don’t think it was this; I don’t think it was West’s friends holding him accountable for his actions and so clearly explaining, in not so nice terms, why this was a shit show.
The video started out with Brody asking how, if they have explained so many scandals to West through the White Board how on earth did he still manage to screw this up?
“You’re a D-List public figure.”
“How did it feel to go on Watch What Happens Live and lie?”
“Lying to your friends is worse than lying on TV.”
“You went to gutter rat college bars.”
“You invited us to the Yankee game and you were looking for clout.”

“Say learning one more time.”
“Wrinkled ass suit and fuck ass bun.” On West & Amanda’s reunion looks

“Say it with your fucking chest.” Brody on making West speak up (and not whisper) when talking about who made the first move

West said that this wasn’t for clout and if he wanted clout he would’ve just stayed with Ciara. To that, Nelson said “Well, that was your original plan.”
“You don’t know the definition of love.”
Now, for the actual crux of the video. We did get a clearer picture of what was going on since February and the main takeaway is: West and Amanda were in their own bubble. They were not paying attention to any of the outside noise while sneaking around and were choosing to put their heads in the sand when it came to understanding why this was a bad idea.
West confirmed it, saying that they were not thinking about the fallout and were under the impression they would announce it once they figured out how they actually felt about each other.
That is, until the video of West and Amanda in his apartment was threatening to leak. It was filmed by a neighbor, looking into West’s apartment. This in turn, proves that they were lying about their physical timeline and West confirms it.
He said they didn’t sleep together till after the statement but had done everything BUT sex up until that point, starting in late February.
He confirmed that he was the one that made the first move, initiating a drunken hookup at a bar while they were out one night — my bet is the night of the NYC snowstorm that happened around February 22nd.
West confirms that they did not write the statement, soemone else did (a shitty PR person probably) but they did provide their comments before it went live. He said that it was his biggest regret in the entire thing and he’s stupid for it. (DUH!)
After that, he explains that the reason they kept going out to bars and to the Yankee game (which West also confirms that Amanda did say ‘act like you like me’ because he was not being affectionate and trying not to draw attention to them) was because he wanted to feel as normal as possible. He didn’t want to think about the shit storm they created and just live his life.
The conversation then turned to race where Nelson really laid it out for West, talking about Ciara and how Black women are perceived differently, not just in television but dating in general and how West screwed that up for her twice. From there, Brody & Nelson continued to harp on all of West’s lying. *This is me paraphrasing; by no means am I explaining this as eloquently as Nelson .
Nothing happened with Jen Fessler but he understands that his words mean nothing after the lying.
He still hasn’t watched the reunion.
He confirms again that Meija thought they were in an exclusive relationship and they were not.
He sent Valentine’s Day flowers to Meija, his mom, his producer…basically claiming that he does this so he can’t be questioned in either a good or bad way.
West was kind of caught in a lie about his dick pics and finding out on stage — Brody made it clear that he knew about it beforehand.
Amanda gave him permission to film the white board video and was worried about what would happen.
He denied calling DeuxMoi or paparazzi on him and Amanda — why would they want more attention he claims?
West does not think Amanda’s cryptic posts (aka the breadcrumbing) were about him and their situation
He found out about his grandma’s death the night before the reunion.
West said he had never hung out with Chickenfry and Amanda at the same time, to which Brody called out as a lie as he’s seen pictures.
Brody asks why Amanda & West kept saying they were having conversations, every answer was ‘we had a conversation about that.’ West explains that they were having conversations before the statement and the video, trying to figure out if their hooking up was worth what they knew was coming. They didn’t realize how bad it was going to get.
West texted Bravo production when the rumors came out that he was trying to ‘replace the OGs’ asking them to debunk it because it was 100% not true.
Until he came to the reunion, West did not realize the group destruction and how upset his friends were at him. He explains that they were actually friends and friendships & friend groups are really important to him, and that’s what is hurting him the most. He sees a path forward with a few people.
At the end of it, West is still blaming everyone else. It sounds like he’s taking accountability and he very well might understand what he did was wrong but the only proof will be if he actually changes his ways, which we won’t be seeing since he’s no longer on Bravo.
The resentment for Ciara is oozing out of his pores during this; his face is red and angry, he’s rolling his eyes and keeping a stoic face when his friends rag on him. He doesn’t remember making out with Ciara during the summer, and you could just hear the undertones of annoyance from him.
At one point, West blames his dad’s anger issues on why he retreats inward at the sign of confrontation which yes, sounds like an excuse but I could understand that. It’s something about myself that I’ve been coming to terms with over the past year or so, but that doesn’t excuse the bad behavior and bad choices — it just explains his reunion performances.
West also really dislikes the audience, which was there throughout a few different points. He doesn’t understand why it was a big deal that he didn’t say anything at the reunion, that’s how he’s been at the others. He feels dammed if he does and dammed if he doesn’t.
He tried to explain why he didn’t go after Amanda, talking about the image of them being off stage and when Nelson tried to push back on that saying it’s all he cares about, West says “Everyone else is concerned about the image.”
And that’s what it comes down too… West is concerned about his image and he resents everyone who made that complicated.
Well, he got his wish. He’s off reality TV and can be in complete control over his image, his narrative and how he’s perceived… but only if he could make good choices which I doubt.
I definitely missed a few things but it is what it is. I am hoping that this is the final nail in the West Side Story coffin.
