Back in Houston, an ER visit and early scans chalked my symptoms up to “just gastroenteritis.” But the nights-only pattern wouldn’t let me rest—literally. In this episode, I walk through the ultrasounds that showed nothing, the three‑week wait for a GI referral, and the glamorous reality of a take‑home stool kit (eight vials, zero dignity).
The results pointed to a common culprit—Blastocystis—and I started a month of Flagyl. My weight ticked up, my energy returned, and for a moment it felt like answers. We even rappelled down a skyscraper for a fundraiser, and then packed to move to Orlando. But as you’ll hear, relief isn’t the same as resolution—and this “explanation” didn’t tell the whole story that would lead to my peripheral T‑cell lymphoma diagnosis.
If you’ve ever celebrated a partial answer while sensing there’s more beneath it, you’ll recognize this chapter.
