Magic, Coffee & Cats
I have this coffee mug with a magnificent black cat face with golden eyes and highlights from a friend of mine a few years ago. I’ve kept it in prime condition and wouldn’t trust the dishwasher or the hand dishwashers to handle it, even myself. So, it sits prominently on my office desk as I write this.
I am reminded about how thankful I am for this mug, my friend, and the words on it “Magic, Coffee & Cats.” I love receiving treasures, and to be honest, I have more than I could display at once! Yet I try. :)
I have a hand carved box that another friend gifted me. I have a box which has a clay-molded and painted black lion’s face with a purple galaxy intermixed with stars from another talented friend. I have trinkets of cats, Minions, rocks, crystals of various types, an enameled sea turtle from Maho Beach, and stickers, sayings and my vision boards for the year.
I surround myself with magickal reminders, intentions, and of course my cats Merry and Milton. I have a wallpaper of my earlier generation of cats Merlin and Percival. We play during the day and snuggle in the morning during reading time and stealth snuggles at night. I am filled with love for my cats. Right now, Merry is curled up on a blanket behind me as I type. So much love!
And to round it out, I like coffee. I have mugs of it a day. It is my breakfast in the morning. My coffee maker holds 12 cups and I often have the lion’s share. The carafe style lasts for 4 hours, though I know the half-life of caffeine is under an hour, I enjoy drinking the warm elixir. I used to have sugar in it, but I am happy to use half-and-half as my sweetener. I love that creamy flavor.
