I can’t believe it’s baby month. It’s hard to summarize the spiritual and emotional monolith that the arrival of this child has made on my life.
Being a mom has been a dream of mine since I was little, and I felt “ready” and started trying about nine years ago. Since then, my life has taken so many twists and turns. I had to give up the dream many times, even after I had gotten so close. In the past few years, it has become my utmost priority and has affected all of my other decision-making. I think the biggest lesson this has taught me is that it’s ok to let go of your dreams and put them on pause for a while. They will come back around when you least expect them. It’s up to you to intuit when it’s time to be gentle with them and when it’s time to push harder for them.
