If you’re receiving this email for a second time, I’m sorry. The original version was sent out a couple days ago. However, I received a bunch of responses saying the links were broken. A couple hours later, I noticed that someone/thing had brought my website down.
From what my tech guy mentioned, it looks like they broke into the site via an outdated plugin. However, it is all resolved now and we’re a launch.
So… below is the email again. Some of you may have received this twice, as it did get delivered to a number of people before the stop-send went through. Sorry for the repeat of it.
Oh, and well I have your attention, there’s a big new trip announcement coming on Sunday. Stay tuned for that.
What’s a photography road trip so epic that it’ll take 5 years to complete?
Australia.
I have now launched the 3rd leg of my epic 5 year photography road trip to cover as much of Australia as possible.
The next leg - happening in 2028 - will cross the southern section from Perth to Melbourne, covering some iconic location as well as some great hidden gems.
If you want to join that trip, there’s info here: https://brendansadventures.com/travel-photography-workshops/australia-photography-workshop-road-trip-part3/
As for the 2027 leg, I only have 2 spots left of that section: West Australia - which is also going to be awesome.
If you’re interested in how the first leg of the trip went, there is some video evidence of the awesomeness of Australia in my vlogs from that trip this past year. I went from Brisbane to Darwin, and had an incredible time.
There were three vlogs in that series, the one below was the first:
If you’re wondering about the rest of the Australia trips, this is what I’m planning:
2026 - Brisbane to Darwin (completed)
2027 - Darwin to Perth
2028 - Perth to Melbourne
2029 - Melbourne to Brisbane
2030 - Tazmania.
Also 2030 - The Outback
Obviously, plans change. But that’s the goal!
Of course, you’re welcome to join me on any of those legs. So be sure to stay tuned to the Substack!
From a personal side of things, I’ve started blogging again. I’m doing so on the “paid” version of Substack: Brendan van Son: Unfiltered Travel Photography
I’m trying to post about once a week, with less of a focus on photography, and more of a focus on what I’m up to - especially now that I’ve moved back into the semi-nomadic lifestyle.
You can read my latest article about “The Sad Part of Living in Canada” as well as other updates from this move back to the road.
There are a bunch of previously unpublished photos from Canada in that article as well.
That’s it now.
I’ll have a blog post about moving to Rio de Janeiro and a new YouTube video from Uzbekistan coming out this week.
Stay tuned, and stay adventuring!
