Introducing TRVL° Epic Photo Hikes!

I’ve been asked a lot about what makes TRVL° - the brand I co-founded with Greg Snell - different from my own photo tours.

The answer hasn’t always been 100% clear other than the fact that I wouldn’t always be running TRVL° trips. They’d often be run by Greg, or another world-class photographer.

Over the past couple months, I kind of pieced it together.

The difference - in my opinion - is this: the goal of TRVL° adventures is “adventure first, photos second.”

Or at least, “adventure first, photos also!”

With my own photography trips, the goal is always: “let’s go make really cool photos.”

The focus is on the photos first, and then the journey as it comes.

With TRVL° we want it to be about the stories, the journey, the adventure, and the comraderies. The photos will come, and they will still be a large focus. In fact, you might get better, more impactful photos because you’re so immersed in the experience with TRVL°.

One of the things Greg and I really wanted to develop was a series of hiking trips. Often times, hiking trips are focused just on hiking. Getting from place A to place B. But anyone who does nature or outdoors photography knows that the best photos always come after a bit of a hike.

So, we wanted to meld the two together.

In 2027 and 2028, we’ll be launching our first 2 hiking trips.

TRVL° will be heading to Annapurna in October 2027. A few years ago, this is a trip Greg and I completed, and it was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had in my entire life. This is a post a made with some of my favourite photo locations we found along the trail.

And in early 2028, there will be an epic hiking experience to Patagonia! This trip will be lead by the ever-fun-loving Neil Arthurs and will be an absolute blast. Patagonia offers some of the best landscape photography moments anywhere on the planet, and you’ll definitely walk away from this one with a memory card full of images and a brain full of memories.

I’ve mentioned a couple times that most of my own photography tours and workshops are sold out for the year. I do have a couple spots still left on some of the TRVL° trips that I’ll be leading in 2026 and 2027.
