Silence and a deeper silence when the crickets hesitate

I hesitated to use the poem. Substack titles always mess up the formatting. This is how it should look-

Silence
and a deeper silence
when the crickets hesitate

I don't have any cricket photos. I'm new to this house this fall. The old place was out in the country and every evening in September I'd have to hunt for the crickets that found their way inside and wouldn’t let me sleep with all the noise . Doesn't bother me as much as it used to- I tell myself ”Damn Tinnitus” and just go on.( I insist on reading that as “ Tin tin itis” even though I know the proper pronunciation.)

I don't have any cricket photos but I’ve taken a couple of photos lately that I like -
