I moved 2 more stones today! If you don’t know the story of the stones, it goes something like this…

On my birthday last year, I weighed 217 pounds 😳 (yikes!). I challenged myself to ‘Back to Basics’ and start walking again. That’s when my daughter suggested I try and walk 10,000 steps a day.

So for the entire month of October - I walked at least 10,000 steps a day, and many days as much as 12,000. I did this almost through Thanksgiving - when my mother-in-law and her boyfriend came to visit for the holidays and we discovered that he was sick. Once I got the bug he so graciously shared - that was it for the 10k steps. 🙄

Eventually though, over the following months I got down to 196.5 which is the lowest I have seen in a very long time.

When I first started the challenge, I set a goal for myself of 180 lbs.

That would put me in the “normal” range for my BMI, and would be the first time to actually BE a normal weight for as long as I can remember.

217 (my starting weight) - 180 (my goal weight) = 37 pounds to lose

So my livestream friend Brenda suggested I grab 2 little bowls and put 37 of those decorative little rocks you see in the hobby shops into one of the bowls.

Then - each time you lose a pound - transfer 1 stone to the empty bowl. It’s a really great visual representation of your progress!

And this morning after I weighed in - I got to transfer 2 of this little stones. First time in a while too as I’ve been hovering around 198 pounds for what seems like forever.

I am now 195.5 pounds which means I have lost nearly 22 pounds since my birthday. Only 15 more to go!

Here’s the funny thing:

I haven’t even been trying. The only thing new to my routine has been the DDP Yoga I have been doing every day for the last week. That’s it.

It just goes to show you - when you “eat right & exercise” - wonderful things can happen.

You don’t have to move a lot…. just more than you did yesterday.
