Greetings writers and artists. Lord Devereaux here, eager to begin week 2 of this challenge, co-hosted with The Circus Dragon! Despite my best attempts, the young dragon in my cavernous depths, Smog, is beginning to grow on me.

And, my hunger is ravenous as always. So, let us not dawdle and instead begin week 2 in earnest! Find your prompts and fellow writer’s entries below.

Today’s prompt has the option to set your entry in D’veen if you would like! This poor dragon has been infected by the Rot! Find your optional text prompt below, or simply let the art inspire your piece.

Optional text prompt: The Rot is a powerful force not native to D’veen. It infects and transforms all it touches into a horrifying visage of entropy and decay.

Write a story or poem about a dragon infected by the Rot. You may choose to write from the dragon’s POV, or from the perspective of someone that encounters it.
