Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

You weren’t invited.
I never asked for you.
You hid inside the pain,
and now the debt is due.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

You say we weren’t invited
but we both know that’s a lie.
You summoned us forth
because you secretly wanted to die.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

I was weak and beaten down.
Lost and forlorn.
So lonely and tired
With so much still to mourn.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

We arrived in your darkest hour.
Here to numb your pain.
Just a few drinks
to silence your thirsty brain.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

I took your deal
So, so many times
Killing myself slow
as punishment for my crimes.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

You hated yourself.
And we know you still do.
So, we offer you a new deal.
Right now, just for you.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

I know your ways.
So here’s my counter offer:
I’ll bleed onto this page
to fill your empty coffer.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

Oh yes, bleed away.
I’ll drink your trauma like wine.
I’ll swim in those depths.
On your pain I will dine.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

I surrender to you.
With this final act.
I leave my mark.
And end our pact.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

Such rich suffering!
Such beautiful agony!
We accept your terms!
And do so happily.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

Enjoy, my demons.
For this is your prison of ink.
The trap I have built.
And in those depths, you will sink.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

You think you have won?
That the written word will hold?
We will find you again
And punish you for being so bold.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

I slam the book shut.
Your screams echo within.
Deaf as you were to my cries.
Now comfortable in my own skin.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

I will lay this trap again.
As many times as it takes.
To rid myself of these demons,
and drown them in crimson lakes.

Listen to this after reading, like pairing a glass of wine with dinner.
