I show you how to inflate your status using a little known trick.

Here’s how to create Artificial scarcity for your availability! Ever feel like the Guru’s claims are too good to be true? Aren’t you a little suspicious about how their calendar is always booked?

Well, what if you just want to raise your status with a prospect?

Here's how to do it!

How to increase your status

First off you need a Calendly account (This applies to all meeting booking software)

Calendly is a scheduling tool that allows people to pick times to meet based on their availability.

Next, you need to create an event in Calendly

Create a One-on-One meeting

Since we're artificially creating scarcity be sure to put FOMO (fear of missing out) in the title of the meeting so people book it when they click the link. Add social proof in the description to remove doubt.1

Here's where we manipulate the numbers. You're going to make it so they can only book 3 days in advance. This is so the calendar looks completely full *but* oh look you can book right now and get in before it gets just too busy and you miss out...3 left

Your calendar should look like this:

Now you're also going to limit booking to 2 people MAX per day (can't seem too available) make it so they can’t book within 2 hours of each other and can only book within a 6-hour time window.

This gives them only 3 possible timeslots they can book:

How to do it:

There it is. This is how to create artificial scarcity so you appear more successful/busy/higher status.

Note: use scarcity as a primer before the meeting. Not after.

Thanks for reading. I’ll be reposting some of my most popular threads to substack for ease of use.

Disclaimer: I’m being playful in this article. The principals are sound. Just remove the bold claims + FOMO and keep a tight schedule when selling to professionals.
