That’s the narrative that comes across my brain once the day gets started. I’m confident, but it’s earned confidence. I have worked hard and smart to get to where I am at.
One of M’s (former fiancee, son’s mother, now deceased) favorite memories of her and I pre Little Boy Kong was after a hike. We were departing for the day. I saw a beautiful sunset, threw it in park, sprinted to her car.
“Come see this!”
I took her out of the car and pointed her to the sunset.
Except, I was starting the wrong way.
She thought, who is this goofy guy? She loved it.
This morning was an example. I kept trying to get gas, but all the pumps were broken.
A guy saw me, walked over. Thought maybe I have vaper lock. Vaper lock? STUPID car!
He then looked in my gas tank. “Looks full”.
“That’s impossible, it is on empty!”
He looked confused. I said thanks, he walked away.
As I drove off, I looked at my gas meter.
FULL.
“How could this be?”, I thought.
Then I remembered - I filled up last night on the way home
It is ok to do dumb things at times. I will be smelling spilled gasoline all day on my shoes as a reminder to not take myself too seriously.
