The best gifts are always the simple ones. A handwritten card, letting mom sleep in, bringing her a coffee, a drawing from the kids. That’s the stuff that really matters.
But if we’re talking about gifts to buy, this year I decided to keep a running list of the things I’ve been wearing, using, and loving on repeat. No fancy collages, just a raw list of what’s in heavy rotation, what I’d love to gift, what I’d love to receive, and what I’m actually giving.
1. Things I Wear on Repeat
The Ziggy Sweatshirt: I would own one in every color if I could. Size up!
Pointelle Pants AKA an update to sweats: I own these in 3 colors. The grey is on my wishlist.
Jewelry you never take off: I’ve shared this before but I buy all of my fine jewelry from @ridano they’re a wholesale jeweler in LA with the best prices. Tell David I sent you and I promise he will take care of you! I’m talking tennis necklace, tennis bracelet, eternity band. I don’t get any kick backs, just a slower response from him haha
2. Beauty I LOVE
Don’t hate me, but one of the recommendations I firmly stand by are the Bioprogramming hair devices. These “treatment devices” have replaced my traditional hot tools, so every time I dry or style my hair, it feels like I’m adding moisture back in instead of causing damage. The technology is a bit vague, I get it, but after using them for over two years, I can confidently say they’re worth every cent. My hair has never been healthier. These are the exact items I own: curling iron & hair dryer. Here’s a video I shared on instagram a while back.
Roz Haircare: is wonderful but this type of thing is hard to buy for yourself. Hands down one of my favorite duo’s is this. I don’t mean to brag but coming from someone who doesn’t have inherently gorgeous hair I have to tell you I AIR DRIED my hair the last 2 washes and this is the only reason why it looks good.
Sleep Crown: I’m putting this in beauty because we all need our beauty sleep. If you like sleeping with something over your eyes or on your face, this feels like a soft hug from a cloud. It’s the most calming, soothing thing. I actually left mine at a hotel and frantically called to have them mail it back, which says everything. They’re almost always sold out, but there’s a restock Tuesday at 9am CT. Set your alarms.
Retinol Hand Cream in the best scent ever. Plus, it looks pretty on your nightstand.
3. Luxuries for the Home
Juliska acrylic tumblers we use nonstop.
Cold brew coffee machine. Mom’s drink cold coffee anyway, why not make it intentional!? this is the coolest machine. STRONG cold brews. 20% off with code MOTHERSDAY20. One of my favorite follows shared this pic today.
4. On My Personal Wish List
The Brick! this is one of those things I didn’t know I needed until @things.i.bought.and.liked told me it’s a must. It’s a physical device that lets you block distracting apps and websites on your phone. You tap your phone to it to “brick” your apps, and you can’t undo it unless you tap it again, which adds just enough friction to actually stay off your phone and reduce screen time.
These overpriced jelly flip flops
Bamboo flatware I have been thinking about for a couple years now.
My girlfriend recently taught me how to play Rummikub, it’s so fun and surprisingly easy to pick up. We played a game while the kids were running around, which felt like a win. I love Mahjong, but it’s harder to carve out the time. set I really want is on pre-order, but this one is available now.
@courtneygrow shared this palette during the Sephora sale and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it!
I like layering my necklaces and lately I’ve been taking a break from my gold paperclip chain. I really love this chain necklace as an update. Look at this stack!
5. Experiences > Things
Morgan Wallen concert tickets (going this weekend with girlfriends-can’t wait!)
Dinner date at a Hillstone restaurant
Future tour dreams like Justin Bieber tickets
a Vivrelle membership to borrow a luxury handbag. I have been loving the subscription. You can keep the bag for as along as you want or swap it anytime. SAVANNABORDEN gets you 1 month free!
Maghjongg lessons
Gift card for a blowout
Nobody ever complains about a spa gift card either…
5. Little things I Love to Gift
Bought a couple of my Bieber obsessed GF’s these Rhode eye patches
This $22 Glossy Lip Balm has become a favorite recently
I bring these face masks on all my girls trips.
Santal hand cream; people stop to ask what smells so good.
The best dry shampoo.
6. What I’m Gifting This Year
For my Mom, I got the Dermaflash (use code SAVANNA for 20% off!). It removes peach fuzz and dead skin. Your skincare and makeup sits so nicely after you use it.
For my Stepmom (for the last almost 30 years!), she recently asked about my On sneakers. They’re so comfortable, easy to wear, and one of those gifts that you know will get a ton of use.
I sent this “Leather Appointment” candle to a boujee friend and I think she’ll love it!
I started adding items to my Amazon storefront for any last minute gifts too!
That’s all for now. Hope you all have a great rest of the week. xx Sav
