On May 21, we celebrated five years of independent programs, fellowships, awards, training, and publishing at our first-ever BCPH Gala.
Keynote speaker Dr. Olabiyi Olaniran (MD, MPH), of Beth Israel Deaconess and Harvard Medical School, reminded us why this work matters: public health thought leadership helps communities overcome misinformation, eroding trust, and inequity. Quoting Ellen G. White, he called for health leaders “who will not be bought or sold.”
That’s exactly who BCPH exists to support—leaders who approach public health through the lenses of justice and equity, and who answer to the communities they serve rather than to anyone else.
