May Day General Strike: No work. No shopping. No school.

Friday, May 1, is a nation-wide General Strike in response to the current administration’s increasingly erratic and authoritarian acts. It’s imperative that we not only participate in this strike, but we tell others about it as well. (Not everyone’s as plugged in as you are, friend.)

🚫 No shopping. 🚫 No working. 🚫 No school. Mass rally and march.

Fri, 5.1 | 5:30 p.m. | Washington Square Park | 100 E. Pershing Rd. KCMO

➡️ BOTG will meet at the Southwest Corner of the park. Join us!

Veterans for Peace Chapter 97 and allies will gather and hold a press conference May 1st @ 9am in Linwood Green Park outside the KCVA hospital to support VA workers, raise our voices against the privatization of VA healthcare, and say no more wars.

As midterm elections approach, we have created primary and general election committees to help us regain peace, prosperity and equality. Here’s how you can help:

  • ✅Get Out the Vote – High voter turnout is the #1 way we can turn the tide.

  • 💯Vote Your Values Scorecard – Join this team if you want to tie candidates to their records and lift up those candidates who make a positive impact.

  • 🔏Election Integrity/Security – This proactive team will make sure we have ample poll workers and poll watchers.

Fill out this form and we’ll reach out.

Boots on the Ground Midwest has partnered with El Centro to raise funds in support of immigrant families. The Floreciendo Futuros Legacy Fund is used to cover partial rent payments, utility assistance, and more. If every person gave $10, think how powerful that could be - please donate today!

If you really want to make a difference in the midterms, this is your event. The Voter 2 Voter program uses a simple peer-to-peer online tool proven to increase voter turnout in Kansas significantly.

Join us at one of our kick-off events for the Boots on the Ground Voter 2 Voter team. We’ll learn how to use the tool, get tips on how to talk with friends about voting – and meet amazing people.
