Shoes I Recently Purchased: Fun Edition

Now that I’m officially back to lightly shopping, I had to spotlight the VERY FUN shoes I purchased over the last two months. We know how I feel about shoes. They’re my favorite thing to shop for because they are completely and totally emotional, work forever, and will always fit (I tried to pretend it didn’t happen, but I did go up half a size after having kids????)

Usually around this time, I’d be knee deep in pre-fall shopping and planning. But since we’re practicing shopping restraint over here, the intentionality is more dialed in than ever. Like it needs to be pretty special for me to actually buy it and WANT IT… which ALL of the below shoes are.

I really want to emphasize how this is a FUN roundup of shoes. When I think about what my ideal closet looks like, the ratio of fun shoes to normal shoes should be split 50/50. Shoes are like jewelry. They can easily make or break an outfit and are ADORNMENTSSSSSSSS. I will say, though, that a fun shoe takes slightly more planning than a regular shoe. Wearing a crazy/fun heel with a white t-shirt and jeans isn’t really cutting it for me these days.

I buy shoes like I buy art. They pull on an emotional string that clothes will just never. I’m really not trying to ever overbuy in a particular category, but if a pair of shoes come across my desk that I think stand out and are beautiful, my entire mind is zapped. My brain literally evaporates and I can’t regulate until the purchase is complete. I KNOW 10,15, & 20 years from now, I’m gonna be like, “wow, THANK GOD I have these banana shoes.”

ALSO all of these pairs are all pretty year-round. Do with that what you will.
