Maybe “30 seconds” is an overstatement. It’s really more like one second.
I’ve noticed that the chicest women are all wearing long necklaces. Every time I spot one, it feels like a little secret handshake. It’s like saying, I know that you know. We are chic.
What I love about this trend is that it isn’t loud. My very first long necklace was incredibly simple, and I think that’s exactly the point. Here’s a picture:
One reason I think this trend works on so many women is because a long necklace naturally creates a vertical line. It elongates the torso and adds balance, especially with oversized shirts, sweaters, and dresses.
