I bet that you have heard the news that Donald Trump’s personal law firm - formerly known as the Justice Department - is criminally investigating advice columnist E Jean Carroll, 82.
What a surprise.
Donald Trump has told the American people that he “doesn’t think about” their stressed- out - financial situations and that he doesn’t care if peace negotiations with Iran fall apart.
He admitted on CNBC that “I couldn’t care less”about the Iran peace talks and that the discussions “started to get very boring.”
But what Trump does care about endlessly and never finds boring, is taking revenge on anyone that he perceives as his political or personal enemy.
That list keeps getting longer and longer : James Comey, Letitia James, Kilmar Albrego Garcia, Jerome Powell, Senator Bill Cassidy, Senator John Thune, Liz Cheney, Cassidy Hutchinson… and now E Jean Carroll.
Of course, E Jean Carroll. That shouldn’t be a surprise.
That’s because E Jean Carroll achieved what so many have failed to do - she fought Trump in court and she whupped him!
A jury of Trump’s and E Jean’s peers determined that he first sexually abused her in an NYC department store dressing room and then defamed her, over and over.
She was first awarded $5 million in damages for the sexual abuse. Then it took a jury just three hours to hit Trump with $83.3 million in damages in a defamation case after the now -president repeatedly accused her of lying and called her a “nut job”, a “con” and claimed that she wasn’t his type.
(I guess, he would only sexually abuse women that were his type?)
Trump of course appealed the verdict but the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals slapped him down ruling that ‘the degree of reprehensibility of his conduct was remarkably high, perhaps unprecedented.”
Now Trump has taken his reprehensible conduct to a whole new unprecedented level as he reportedly is having the Todd Blanche - led “ Justice Department”investigate E. Jean for supposedly perjuring herself in her civil suits against him.
SELECTIVE OR VINDICTIVE PROSECUTION
Top lawyer and former U.S Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama, Joyce Vance has called BS on the case, citing it as a potential selective or vindictive prosecution since there’s no evidence to support any perjury investigation into Carroll.
But evidence is not necessary for the Bully - in - Chief.
Trump wants to show Carroll that he still has power to torture her, as if forcing himself on her in a dressing room and sticking his fingers up her vagina, then fighting her in court, wasn’t enough.
But he is also demonstrating to every woman and teenage girl in the country once again that he, Donald Trump, is entitled to have his way with them.
He wants to keep showing us his utter disdain for women of every age.
He showed it in the Access Hollywood tape when he bragged that women let him, grab them by the pussy.
He showed it when he leveled accusations of lying against every one of the 20 plus women who came forward with detailed and believable allegations that he had sexually assaulted them.
He did it again when he arranged for hush money payments to Stormy Daniels to cover up their sexual encounter so Americans wouldn’t be aware of his cheating on Melania before the 2016 election.
He showed it when he aligned with zealous anti abortion groups before his first election for president in 2016.
That’s when he promised to only nominate justices to the Supreme Court who would overturn Roe V Wade and take away the right of American women to get full reproductive care, including abortion care.
Then he - for once - fulfilled a promise and selected three judges who did his bidding along with Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas and in 2022, American women lost the fundamental right to an abortion after 50 years.
Trump displayed his utter disdain for women again when he hired Christian Nationalist Russell Vought, the architect of Project 2025, for the powerful position of director of the office of Management and Budget so Vought could work on implementing Project 2025’s goal of banning the abortion drug mifepristone, as well as cutting access to contraceptives.
And he has shown his utter disdain for America’s women and girls, every step of the way as his Justice Department has shamelessly ignored the Epstein Files Transparency Act and blocked the release of millions of Epstein Files.
Do you see the pattern here?
Criminally investigating E Jean Carroll is part of a long pattern by Trump of using and abusing women. It’s only 17 months into his 2nd term of president and he’s not going to stop.
I think it’s safe to say that he can’t stand powerful women, like Hillary and Kamala, and he would love it if he could prevent as many women as possible in America from gaining powerful positions where he might fail to ‘dominate’ them.
ANTI DEI EQUALS ANTI OPPORTUNITY FOR WOMEN
That’s why he has waged relentless war on universities and businesses that have had DEI policies, which might enable women as well as minorities to get an equal chance to get ahead.
Think about it. He is doing everything in his power - and he has a lot of power - to push women back into ‘their place’ as second class Americans, preferably at home, pregnant, as traditional or ‘trad’ wives.
That’s why he was probably cheerleading when former Fox news weekend host Pete Hegseth fired the most accomplished high ranking women in the military and has refused to promote others.
It’s why he was happy to let his minions disproportionately fire Black women in federal civil servant jobs and why he’s chosen JD Vance, a VP who tries to shame women into having more babies.
So you see - using our tax payer dollars now to criminally investigate a woman who has stood up to him and won, makes perfect sense for the Misogynist -in-chief.
But please, don’t see it just as another depraved one - off, by Trump.
It’s part of a pattern of this almost 80 year old, that sadly millions of women still voted to elect twice.
He’s coming for E Jean and he will keep coming for every female in the country and - not just for our rights to abortion, contraception and reproductive healthcare.
He’s coming for our careers, financial independence and status as equals.
He’s coming for our dreams.
Believe me, spread the word and prepare to vote for Democrats who will fight for you, your rights and dreams in the midterms this Nov.
Do it for yourself, your daughters and for brave E. Jean!

determination that the 'the degree of reprehensibility' of Mr. Trump's conduct was remarkably high, perhaps unprecedented," the three-judge appeals panel said. "Carroll was subjected to ongoing and prolific harassment as a result of these statements, including a multitude of death threats and other threats of physical injury."
