I wanted to share a few life updates with you; some of what I’ve been up to, what I’ve been enjoying, and what I’ve been learning in this current season.
Because honestly, it’s been full. In a good way… but also in a “I need to pace myself” kind of way.
A quick reset at Universal Studios
In the middle of prepping for the release of my new book, Clever Girl Millionaire, doing press, and all the added chaos that comes with launch week, I took some time to step away and visit Universal Studios Orlando with my family.
And honestly, I needed that.
It was fun, a little chaotic (especially with kids), but exactly the kind of break I needed especially being in such an intense season. Being able to disconnect from work mode and just be present with my family reminded me how important it is to create space for joy— even when things are busy.
Coming down from a big moment
After the intensity of preparing for and launching my book, I’ve been adjusting to a different pace.
There’s always this shift that happens after a big milestone. You go from being fully “on” all the time to figuring out what your normal rhythm looks like again. And that’s where I am right now, being more intentional about how I structure my days and how I move forward.
At the same time, I’m still very much in book promotion mode, and I will be for the next several months. That part hasn’t slowed down and it won’t, because getting this book into the hands of the women who need it is a big focus for me.
I think about promoting my books not just as a short-term push, but as something ongoing and evergreen, something I can sustainably incorporate into my routine over time, instead of treating it like a constant sprint.
This allows me to stay consistent without feeling overwhelmed and show up with intention instead of urgency. And it also helps me build momentum in a way that actually lasts and is sustainable.
Little things I’ve been loving
Sometimes it’s the small things that bring the most joy, and these have been some of my favorites recently.
From Effie’s Paper
Kalyn, the founder of Effie’s Paper, is one of my real-life sister friends, and she dropped some new products that I immediately had to have. (Yes, I treat myself!)
I picked up a few things that just made me smile:
The “I Believe in Joy” embroidered keychain / rainbow affirmation luggage tag — this one just felt aligned with where I am mentally right now
Beaded phone necklace — practical but also just really cute and easy
Travel jewelry box (Rich Auntie) — because yes, we are traveling with intention and style, and I will fully own that title, lol.
These are small, but meaningful. And I’ve been leaning into things that feel good.
On TV
When I do slow down, I’ve been enjoying shows that let my brain just rest.
I've been watching The Pitt season 2 on Max. It's not exactly a relaxing watch (lol), but the character dynamics pull me in every time and the patient cases are genuinely fascinating.
Next on my watch list is Paradise season 2, which I cannot wait to get into!
A reminder for me (and you)
Right now I'm in a season of still showing up, but I’m doing it with more awareness, being thoughtful about where my energy goes and giving myself permission to move without urgency.
If you've been feeling stretched, tired, or just a little off your rhythm, you're not behind. Sometimes you just need a reset, some space, or some real rest. And that's more than okay.
I'd love to hear what's been bringing you joy lately, or what's been helping you feel grounded, so drop it in the comments!
