Every now and then somebody asks me how Bodygraph.io actually pays for itself.
It is a fair question!
After all, most people use the website completely free of charge. You can calculate charts, explore transits, save charts (by default), compare charts, study gates and channels with the interactive bodygraph tool, and use many other things without ever spending a single cent.
What many people don’t realize is that Bodygraph.io started as a simple personal project powered by Human Design Commons, a nonprofit association for HD and is made and maintained by only 1 person.
When I began building it, I wasn’t trying to create a business. I wasn’t trying to compete with anyone. I simply wanted a Human Design tool that felt modern, accessible, easy to use, and available to everyone.
Over time something unexpected happened. More and more people started using it. Then thousands and more… Then people from countries I had never seen before began sending messages or shared with me stories about how they were using the platform in their own experiment.
Some use it for their personal journey. Others use it professionally for readings, courses, client work, and research. Slowly, what started as “my project” became something much larger. In a strange way, it stopped feeling like it only belonged to me. It started feeling like it belonged to everyone.
Today bodygraph.io is operated completely independently by me. There is no company behind it and no big team. Most of the things you see on the platform started as an idea during a walk, a conversation with a fried or simply because I thought: “This would actually be useful.” And every now and then a small donation comes in. And of course I have some support via the Google Ads add-on, that to be honest I would like to get rid of again.
So the goal hasn’t changed. I still want Human Design to remain accessible. Not hidden behind expensive software. Not locked away behind large subscriptions. Not reserved only for professionals. Accessible to the curious beginner, the student, the experimenter, the reader, the analyst, and the person who has just discovered Human Design five minutes ago.
Sometimes I think Human Design should be taught in schools. Not because everyone needs to become an analyst or reader, but because understanding oneself and understanding other people would solve so many unnecessary struggles in life.
You may now ask yourself: But why the f*** are you doing this?
Over the years I have watched how people discover their design for the first time and then how they flourished. I have seen relationships improve, parents understand their children differently, and people finally stop fighting against their own nature. Those moments are the reason I keep building.
Below you can see another small preview of something I have been working on recently. The platform continues to evolve, and there are many ideas still waiting to become reality. I am doing my best working on it and a kind of stable version is already in a phase where now I am refining and test and making sure it will work safely for all of us.
