Today, just a few days before the 2026 Preseason opener in Seattle, I wanted to show you something from the archives. In fact, this little something is from 10 years ago, today.
Every preseason, we endure things so that we can get to Week 1. But, also every preseason, guys are trying to make impressions on us and make the team. If they can do enough, they can stay in the NFL. If they cannot, they become names we soon forget.
But, everyone starts somewhere. Everyone has their big debut. And on this day, 10 years ago, we saw Dak Prescott’s debut. And what a debut it was.
A few years ago, you may recall our look at Tony Romo’s big preseason breakout moment and you might also enjoy that if you missed it the first time.
This one is about Dak Prescott and the night they played in Los Angeles at the Coliseum as the Rams returned to LA after they moved from St Louis.
Below this line, you will only see the piece that appeared in the Dallas Morning News as I was writing for them at the time. I have updated the video cuts for this review since what I was doing back then was not very good. Everything else is as it was:
