According to the fabulous new worldview resource created by the Colson Center and Focus on the Family titled, “Truth Rising”:
Katy Faust was a pastor’s wife living what she calls the safe and comfortable Christian life. Seeking a deeper faith and purpose, God called Katy to become a voice for the most vulnerable members of our society. That’s when Katy became an advocate for the rights of children.
With no formal training and no clue where it would lead, she launched what has come to be a ministry known as “Them Before Us.” Them Before Us operates on the simple but profound principle that when we think about issues that affect the family — topics like marriage, abortion, adoption, foster care, or fertility — we should always be focused on what best benefits children.
The idea seems simple and obvious … until you stop to think about how our culture actually approaches these kinds of issues. Marriage is all about making ourselves “happy.” Abortion is usually a way to escape past poor choices and avoid future responsibilities. And when it comes to decisions about bringing children into our lives, the focus is sometimes a thinly-veiled attempt to fulfill our own hopes and dreams.
No issue highlights that tendency more than what has become a gigantic money-making machine that plays right into that understandable motivation. They call it: In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF).
Touchy Subject
I hesitated to type the preceding paragraph because I know how painful infertility can be. I also know that most people who engage in IVF do so for very “pro-life” reasons. They long for a family that seems illusive. While the abortion industry exists solely to seek and destroy new human life, the IVF industry does the opposite. Its motivation is to perpetuate life. All of that is completely understandable.
But the reality of IVF and the industry it has spawned is another story. And Katy Faust is one of the prominent voices who address these issues in a new film that aims to do us all a favor by helping us “navigate the moral complexities of IVF.”
It’s titled, “Frozen Orphans.”
This is not your run-of-the-mill “Christian” movie filled with cringy commentary and second-rate acting. It is a documentary created by industry professionals who have a passion for delivering God’s truths on film. In it, you will hear heartfelt facts about the commodification of children, the ethical dilemmas created by IVF, and the sad fate that awaits more than 2 million embryos — tiny human beings — who wallow in a state of suspended, cryogenic animation.
Educate to Motivate

Neel is a seasoned creative leader with an impressive track record. He has worked on Star Wars games at EA, is collaborating on new projects with the founder of God of War, created his own tabletop card game, and directed several documentaries. He is also one of the few voices in the games industry who leads with both strong creative vision and openly lived faith.
