Rescuing a Cat Rescue

I never post fundraisers. Until now.

HOWEVER…I am determined to make this worth your while. Hence the above subtitle.

The local animal rescue with which I am involved, FWJ (for Follow Wendy Jupiter), is run by one of my true real-life action heroes, Wendy Dohner. Between the long distances driven and flown, not to mention the personal dangers she has often faced during rescues, as well as caring for and re-homing kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs that would otherwise have suffered and/or died, I’ll just say that — if you knew her — you would probably admire her as much as I do.

The Issue: Of late, there has been an outbreak of Toxoplasmosis, Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP), and Feline panleukopenia virus. While all three have devastating effects, the work that Wendy and the team have done in terms of saving most of these beautiful creatures is nothing short of miraculous.

However, as you can imagine, it has cost a ton of money.

Our veterinary bills across local clinics and specialist offices have reached a critical peak. As a no-kill 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we refuse to give up on these babies, but our medical funds (even with what all of us regulars have donated) are completely exhausted.

We need to raise an additional $10,000 dollars, and we need to do so as soon as possible.
