Author of nine published books across different genres, and with an English teaching background, Anna Vaught now teaches on Creative Writing courses up to postgraduate level.
Anna has a PhD by Published Works candidate at York St John University, is the creator the Curae literary prize for writer-carers and works alongside chronic illness.
She has a particular interest in mental health, specifically in trauma, and is a mental health and access campaigner in the publishing industry and beyond.
By sharing her wisdom around the power of creativity, Anna hopes to inject a little more daring and self-confidence into us all when it comes to what we're capable of and what it takes to be a creative person.
She will also share some easy ways to boost well-being through creative projects with a focus on writing.
Arrive from 0700pm and the first thirty minutes or so will be a chance to have a drink and have some chats.
We will start at 0730pm and finish no later than 0830pm.
There will be a donation bar at the event kindly supplied by The Hall. We suggest a minimum £5 donation which will be given directly to the Alex Moulton Charitable Trust.
After the talk, feel free to stay as long as you want, or until The Hall kicks us out.

We are now hosting our talks at The Hall, Holt Road, Bradford on Avon.
This Jacobean mansion is the one-time home to Dr Alex Moulton and is now cared for by the Alex Moulton Charitable Trust who have generously given us the space to meet.
There is parking for up to 8 cars at The Hall but we hope that, if you can, you will walk or cycle. It is only a 5 minute walk from The Shambles. Entry is through the ‘Eagle’ Gates on Holt Road.
The Hall introduces the first annual History at The Hall, a celebration of history, heritage, and fascinating stories. An exciting three-day event of captivating guided tours and historical talks from renowned guest speakers.
The town council recently unveiled the new, more ambitious design which reflected people’s comments about what they would like to see in the play area.
The response to the design has been incredibly positive – with the local community very excited about the new play opportunities.
The new design is however, more expensive, and therefore the project is having to be split into phases.
The town council is spending £80,000 on the first phase of the project (set to begin at the end of May) and is working hard to secure the additional £100,000 of funding required to complete the project.
A match funding offer of £25,000 has already been made and so the community's support is now needed to raise the other £25,000!
The town council would welcome contributions from the local community and businesses who may wish to help.
