TREES, more trees & more.

I hope you’re all enjoying your June so far.

I made a little Video sharing a quick sketchbook flip through of work I’ve done during our morning BSA Club Tree sessions.

🌟 On Friday I gave a demonstration on how I paint trees and upside-down. The replay is available for all BSA club members - just click HERE. The replay is in the June Padlet at the beginning.

🌟 Yesterday I also had a lovely impromptu LIVE here on Substack with Samantha Dion Baker - I painted one of her colouring book pages in her NEW to be released Book - Color Your World. Sam’s book is released on Tuesday the 16th of June!

🌟 This past week I also met up with Emma Carpendale LIVE on Substack and we painted trees together. You can watch the replay HERE . I Love how Emma really is very in touch with Nature, we talk about ink making and how she went over to Ireland to do a workshop with David Begley.

The Willow was a tree I painted whilst with Emma Live, watch our session to see what Emma painted.

I am just packing and getting ready for my Italian Art Retreat. It starts next Friday , I so excited “ a parlare en italiano per una settimana entera!” - which means I can’t wait to speak Italian for a whole week, it’s definitely a language which I hold dear to my heart. So many memories during the years of learning the language and the heated arguments because I was teaching my partner at the time English, and nothing made sense to the Italian… “why do the English say this? “ , “ I don’t know, just learn the language , for the language… & not to try and make sense of it”.

If we question too much in life, I believe there would be too many bumps in the road.

I know the commitment is huge, so please really think about your decision, as the cancellation of a trip can be a lot worse than you not signing up in the first place… lol, it’s not really funny, and I do understand why people cancel their decision… but for the organizers, “moi” , it can mean a guaranteed trip becomes a no go… which causes stress on the people who have signed up…. Anyway, there’s no nicer way than to put it. I don’t like disappointing others.

I have a few spots opened up for Oaxaca, it was guaranteed and then suddenly wasn’t, I have my tickets already and have told my group… I’m going!
