I've been starting to get back into composing music, which for me also means looking at YouTube videos and social posts related to the topic. But the more I start looking at videos and content related to it, I find myself clicking on links to look at virtual instruments and sample libraries. And the more I do it, the more it just keeps piling on and on.
So now everywhere I go I'm getting bombarded by ads for sample libraries. It's kind of cool, but I don't need to buy any more virtual instruments. I need to make music with what I already own (which is a substantial amount). It's making me slip into the mindset that I need to buy another orchestral library before I can start doing the thing that I wanna do. I haven't fallen for it yet, but I just can't stop looking. I have to get away from social media. It's the only way. Otherwise they're going to get me.
