Following our first print Bloodletter publication, Trans Voices in Horror (2025), we are now accepting submissions for Migrant Voices in Horror, an illustrated chapbook of work by migrant poets and artists from and living around the world. This project will be guest-edited by Bianca Alyssa Pérez.
Call for New Work by Poets and Artists
First- and second-generation migrant poets and artists identifying as women, trans, and/or non-binary are invited to submit work that offers an inclusive, expansive, and feminist perspective on the horror genre—or more broadly, the horrific.

Nationally Distributed, Profits Donated
Unlike our biannual digital magazine, Bloodletter chapbooks are distributed nationally in select bookstores and available for direct order. Migrant orderers will be eligible for free copies of this upcoming issue, and all other profits raised will be donated to Immigration Equality, a nonprofit organization working on both the personal and systemic levels to protect and uplift LGBTQ and HIV-positive immigrants and families.

Bianca Alyssa Pérez is a poet & educator born and raised in South Texas. Her debut poetry collection, snake breath, is the winner of Hub City Press’ 2026 Deep Line Poetry Prize and will be published Sping 2027. Her chapbook, Gemini Gospel, was the winner of Host Publication’s Chapbook Contest published Spring 2023. Her work is in or forthcoming from these beautiful places: Porter House Review, The Bangalore Review, Infrarrealista Review, New York Quarterly, Poetry Daily, Praisesong for the People Anthology (edited by Amanda Johnston), The Texas Observer, The Baltimore Review, and an anthology from The University of Nevada Press.
