Though the current project started as a series of posts charting my grief journey after the death of my mother, I am no longer actively grieving. Now, the blog charts a conversation in living, mainly whatever I want it to be. This is an activity that goes well with the theme of this blog (updated 2018). The Sense of Doubt blog is dedicated to my motto: EMBRACE UNCERTAINTY. I promote questioning everything because just when I think I know something is concrete, I find out that it’s not.
A Sense of Doubt blog post #4202 - For Now, I am Just Writing FOR ME - Writing Wednesday for 2608.19 This time I am not searching for another article to echo what I intend to write. I am just going to share some of my recent thoughts. When I was in graduate school, I felt that I received a transmission from the source or as I described it "from Pluto." It was if a story was being transmitted into…
A Sense of Doubt blog post #4201 - A post-World Cup Soccer Guide For a couple of years now, even before the 2026 World Cup, I have been following futbol (soccer) and trying to understand all the leagues, cups, teams, and just the game itself. Lately, I have been paying close attention to WAFCON, the Women's African Cup of Nations, which, even the day after the final, ESPN had NOTHING on that game…
A Sense of Doubt blog post #4200 - William Orbit RIP: 1956-2026 - Music Monday for 2608.17 Before I start the topic at hand, here is a milestone. Post #4200. That's significant. I am now past the eleven year mark of DAILY posts with some extras during that time and before the start of it that increase the total beyond the number of days from July 6th 2015 to now (which would be 4062 days, so 138…
Lori's 12th birthday - 1981 A Sense of Doubt blog post #4199 - My Parents' 68th Wedding Anniversary I went hunting for older pictures of my parents and came across the one above from Lori's birthday, and I liked it. Then, I found this one below. I took this picture, obviously, I cut off the top of Dad's head. My Mom was very pregnant here. Since we moved into this house just before she gave birth,…
A Sense of Doubt blog post #4198 - Awesome Coney Dogs! It's a Detroit Thing I adore coney dogs. Also, chili dogs, Chicago dogs, etc. Found a new Vancouver place yesterday! However, NOTHING compares to the…
A Sense of Doubt blog post #4197 - Taking UAPs Seriously - Pentagon releases UFO Files I cried watching the ending of Disclosure Day . What moved me to tears was the culmination of what I had dreamed of for so long, a dream shared by many people, including, obviously, Steven Speilberg. There's good progress in verifying what so many believe to be true but real disclosure -- EVIDENCE -- for all is…
A Sense of Doubt blog post #4196 - Letter to Dad #48 - Hiking Coldwater Lake on 2608.08 Hey Big Guy, I went on a hike on Saturday the 8th of August at Coldwater Lake where I took you when you visited in 2022, though, obviously, we didn't even go on the trail let alone hike it. Tuesday, June 28, 2022 A Sense of Doubt blog post #2688 - Mt. St. Helens and Coldwater Lake with Dad My friend Paul and…
A Sense of Doubt blog post #4195 - Buckminster Fuller's Chronofile and other Selections from Warren Ellis' Orbital Operations Newsletter My blog is not a chronofile, but there are parallels. What an extra ordinary thing to catalog one's life in such detail. As I reflect on my own, I wish I had more detailed records. This is a collection of a few things via Warren Ellis -- I am very behind on…
A Sense of Doubt blog post #4194 - The Future of Genocide This is a red line issue for me. Full stop. Given the high number of organizations and experts, including the International Court, that have accused Israel of genocide, I fail to understand how any can continue to deny reality and defend the actions of this government. Not that I feel that Hamas should face no consequences. But it seems as…

I say another because my post from 2021 (see link in the photo gallery below) promised a mix and then did not include a mix. Well the mix is there now. Joni Mitchell is the Real Deal…
