Znote has no marketing budget. No ads, no sponsorships, no growth team. Almost everyone reading this found the app the same way: someone showed it to them.
So we made that official. Znote now has a referral program — share the app with three friends, and your Pro license is free.
How it works
Open AI Settings in the app and hit Get my referral code. You get a code like ZN-7F3K9A and a link to share: znote.io/r/ZN-7F3K9A.
Send it to whoever you think would actually like Znote — your teammate who lives in Markdown, the friend still pasting code into a chat window to run it. They download the app, create their free account with your code, and use it.
Once three of them have made Znote part of their week, a Pro license lands in your inbox. Perpetual, all future updates included — the same license everyone else pays 29.90€ for.
Your progress is right there in the panel: 2/3 friends validated. No dashboard to log into, no points to collect.
Your friends get something too
A referral program where only the referrer wins is just a coupon with extra steps. So when your friend's referral is validated, they receive a personal link with 20% off the Pro license — the discount is already applied at checkout, nothing to type, nothing to copy.
You share a tool you like, they get a better price on it, and you get your license. Nobody is selling anything to anyone.
Why "used it" and not "signed up"
The one rule: your friends have to actually give Znote a real try — a few days of genuine use, not an install-and-forget.
That's not us being difficult. It's the only way a program like this stays honest. Reward pure signups and you get throwaway accounts; reward real usage and the only way to earn a license is to convince someone that Znote is worth their time. Which is exactly what we're trying to reward.
Practically, it means there's a short delay between your friend joining and your counter moving. Nothing to do on your side — we check every day, and the license email arrives on its own.
One more thing
If you already own a license and you're wondering whether this is for you: share the code anyway. Your friends still get their 20%, and honestly, a recommendation from someone who paid for the app is worth more than anything we could write here.
