My strong suggestion is that you use something like the crucial memory selector tool.

Once you have located the exact right memory then by from one of them. If the sticks don't work you have some possible redress. If you decide on the Amazon or Best Buy route then you are playing the lottery.

Or the Motherboard will just throttle it down and possible issues.  So waste of money on 6400 if M/B is going to throttle it down unless manually overclocking it.

Any good ram, Kingston, Corsair, or ...   There is no QVL page for Acer showing ram tested with the laptop.

The crucial system scanner did not work.

As mentioned. You are missing the proper Model Information.  The PHN16S-71-xxx    xxx is missing information.

Well if it works it works, if not it does not.

FYI : Crucial has moved away from Home/Personal Systems and has moved to Server/data centers ram only, due to $$$ available in that area.

Anything available from Crucial will only be found in stores in stock or on online retailers.

Parent company Micron will stop shipping consumer RAM and storage products under the Crucial brand at the end of February 2026.

However, Micron will continue to honor active product warranties and provide technical support for hardware that customers already own.

If the scanner is not working then that could be the reason.

How did you come to conclusion you can put 64gig into that ??     Have you popped the Memory Panel or panel on the bottom to see if one stick is soldered to the M/B ??

Best Buy and The manufacturer say it can upgrade to 64 gigs.

Buy the correct memory type (such as DDR4 or DDR5).

To upgrade your computer RAM, check your system compatibility via the Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc), buy matching DDR4 or DDR5 sticks, turn off and unplug the PC, open the case, push down old sticks to release them, and snap the new RAM into place.

Look up your motherboard or laptop limits for maximum RAM capacity and speed.

What we have found before from people installing more RAM than the MOBO was designed to handle.

Everything went well. It booted OK but only accessed the amount of RAM the MOBO was designed to handle.

So, you may successfully install 64GB of DDR5 Ram but, your machine may only access 32GB of it

That's a risk you take.
