I did not think that was being posted.  I tried repeatedly using an android mobile device and BC kept saying too soon to post again and I's never sure the post sitting there was posted.

Still interested in the same question:  How many Gmail addresses can be given the same third party email address as recovery address?

Another online search indicated, 'as many of them as you want'.

I'm guessing no limit here.  I have previously put the same email address as account recovery onto, I believe 5 Google or Gmail accounts.  No complaints seen when I configured them with the one.

So I guess, I know the answer.  (Two of the Gmail accounts also have a same mobile number for account recovery purposes.)

NO GOOD!  I am finding confusion on this through an online search during the last five minutes.  DDG search engine presented some listings and also a "Search Assist" listing.  That Search Assist listing says limit is 4 Gmails can have the same recovery email address.  I currently  have the the same email/recovery into FIVE Gmails and Google did not complain.  I may need to go back to each Gmail account and recheck what did I really give.

1 for 1. for GMAIL.

Use another service such as Yahoo.

(personally have several accounts and they all are 1 for 1.)

That is not hard to do.

AI : Single slot: Google provides only one text box for a primary recovery email.

Alternative addresses: You can add alternate or other email addresses to your Google Account profile, but only one functions as the dedicated security recovery email.

https://support.google.com/accounts/thread/111118519/how-can-i-add-more-than-one-email-recovery-to-my-google-account?hl=en         ===== SO ASKED AND ANSWERED

Recovery contacts: You can also add up to 10 trusted recovery contacts (friends or family members with Google accounts) to help you regain access

https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/16590793?hl=en

VERY CONFLICTING

No, you can only set one recovery email address for a single Google account

However, you can add a recovery phone number as an extra safety step, and you can use that same single recovery email address to protect multiple different Gmail accounts.

Alternative Backup Options

  • Recovery Phone Number: Add a text-enabled phone number to receive verification codes.
  • Backup Codes: Generate and print a set of one-time backup codes from your security settings.
  • Passkeys and Security Keys: Add hardware keys or trusted devices for direct sign-in verification
  •
  •
  • DO NOT USE PASS KEYS                   IMHO

Probably so.  Here I am asking about the use of 1 non-gmail address to be used as a recovery email address for a few different gmail addresses.  I believe the answer is "yes", but I am curious about the limit.

I Use a single non g-mail address as the recovery address for several accounts including 2 g-mail accounts.

I find this question odd, You challenged me, not so long ago, about why I might want 5 e-mail addresses now you seem to be wanting to set up a lot more. Plus I already told you how to use an e-mail address as a recovery address for a different e-mail account to avoid problems.

I'm going to close this topic before it turns into yet another multi-page thread.
