Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling Firefox?

I am currently running Firefox on two Windows 11 computers and have not experienced any issues recently.

Have you rebooted.  ??

Have you tried a Restore Point before you updated it ?

Is possible Firefox is corrupted and will need to reset it. : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings

Sync your bookmarks with a Firefox Account : https://www.firefox.com/en-CA/features/sync/

Backup Bookmarks (am still using the ones created in 1995)  https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-firefox-bookmarks-to-backup-or-transfer

Backup Profile where bookmarks are stored and Passwords and more : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

As said is possible even your Profile is corrupted.

You can reinstall FF then insert your Backed up Profile === But back up Bookmarks anyway.

Passwords : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-login-data-firefox

As noted above, you can backup your bookmarks and saved passwords so that you will not lose them.

I am not clear as to everything you did, but I had a hair-tearing problem with Firefox once. It slowed to a crawl and sometimes did not respond.

Here is what I did:

*With Firefox open, hold down Shift, Ctrl and Delete at the same time.
*"Clear Browsing And Data" panel pops up.
*Clear it all.

Firefox started running smooth and fast again.

If that doesn't help, follow PK's advice above:  back up your bookmarks, delete FF and re-install.

Because of the high number of abandoned threads, if there is no response after 3 days I remove the post from my answer list. If you wish further help after that PM me.

it appears to me i am not the only one having problems wit the new Firefox 154.0 i have done everything  i was told  and nothing   fixed it.  i see there are others having problems. It is   Firefox problem. Not my problem. There are multiple  people having problems  i thin    Firefox needs to fix it

Re: OP Post #10:   no, it will not delete FF itself.  It only deletes what it says: Browsing and Data

Post #11:   cookies are automatically added when you access a web page, unless you do not allow them or use a special app. Cookies are not a problem, I delete them all the time off my system.
