I’m extremely excited to announce the launch of my new podcast, Gamecraft with the legendary game investor (and operator) Mitch Lasky. Mitch’s experience as both an operator and investor in the gaming industry enables him to offer a truly unique perspective on the business of gaming.
In this limited series, we will be exploring the modern history of the video game business and how it has evolved over the last 30 years. From the rise of free-to-play and platform-based publishing to the growth of casual and mobile gaming, and the emergence of virtual reality and in-game economies, we will be covering a wide range of topics and offering unique insights and perspectives on the industry.
This 8-episode series is our attempt at documenting the thematic history of the modern video game business.
The first three episodes are now available, including an intro episode and two full episodes on the evolution of free-to-play and the industry’s migration from packaged goods to online platform-based publishing.
