Hey friend!
By now you’ve probably experienced many moments where there isn’t anything to occupy your attention. No app to check. No scrolling to resort to. Just open space. And for many of us, that’s soooo uncomfortable.
We’ve gotten so used to filling every open moment with a task, a project — something! — that boredom feels like a problem to solve.
But ever since starting this experiment for myself six months ago, I realized that boredom isn’t a problem at all. It’s a doorway.
To creativity.
To processing thoughts.
To noticing something you’ve been too distracted to see.
And it’s a necessary human experience that’s become rarer than ever.
This week, I’d love for you to leave a little more room for it to arrive all the way.
Leave your phone behind for one outing this week.
A walk.
A coffee run.
The pool.
A trip to the farmer’s market.
Notice what it feels like. Hint: it will feel rebellious, maybe even risky. Do it anyway. 😊
