Hey friend,
Congratulations — you’ve made it through the first week. This is usually where things start to get interesting. You may notice the discomfort is still there, but your attention is becoming more available again.
One thing I noticed when I first removed social media was how much of my attention had been pointed somewhere else. Other people’s homes. Other people’s vacations. Other people’s ideas. And once that stream slowed down, my own life became more visible again.
Choose one analog activity or more this week and do it daily:
Read a physical book.
Visit a bookstore.
Journal outside.
Work on a puzzle.
Write a postcard.
Take a walk without headphones.
Spend an hour by the pool without your phone.
• What has become more noticeable since removing these apps?
• Where is my attention naturally wanting to go?
• What am I enjoying that I may have overlooked before?
