Ok, enough chit-chat. What’s today’s question?
That’s a funny shift.
There was a time when decisions had to be made quickly. You didn’t always have the luxury of thinking them through. You made a call and moved on to the next thing.
Now there’s more space.
And with that space comes more time to consider things that used to pass without much thought.
What to do today. When to do it. Whether it’s even worth doing at all.
None of it is particularly heavy.
But it can start to feel that way.
I caught myself one morning going back and forth over something small—nothing that would’ve registered a second thought before. It went on longer than it should have.
At some point, I realized it wasn’t the decision.
It was the room around it.
When time is limited, decisions stay small.
When time opens up, they have more space to expand.
Not because they matter more.
Just because there’s more time to sit with them.
I don’t think the goal is to eliminate that completely.
Some things probably deserve a little more thought now.
But not everything.
I’ve started to notice that the days move better when a few decisions are made quickly, even if they’re not perfect.
Not rushed.
Just… not revisited.
There’s something about keeping things in motion that feels more natural than circling back again and again.
Maybe the adjustment isn’t about thinking less.
It’s about recognizing when something doesn’t need as much thought as we’re giving it.
Because not every decision needs to grow just because it has the space to.
